Hi, I’m Maria! My journey with art began long before I arrived in Ohio. After spending six years in art school in Ukraine, I developed a deep love for color and design. When I moved to the United States, I wanted to find a way to bring that artistic passion into people's homes in a tangible, cozy way. At 19, I founded Ohio Rug Company to prove that custom art doesn't have to be out of reach.

Every rug is hand-tufted in my studio with meticulous care. I’m picky about materials because I want your rug to look good now and still look good years from now. That’s why I use premium, high-density acrylic yarn. It’s soft, it holds color beautifully, and it lets me create detailed custom designs while keeping the cost realistic. You get something made just for you, without paying a gallery kind of price.
